Hi, this is Coblog.
Since 2018, I’ve been living outside Japan, traveling and experiencing different countries and places along the way.
I initially left Japan with the intention of living and working abroad.
But over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to something I had always loved—the mountains.
As I traveled, I began spending more time hiking in different places and snowboarding whenever I could.
Along the way, I also felt a growing desire to connect with people who share similar interests or are curious about this kind of lifestyle.
This blog started as a record of my travels, but has gradually become a space to reflect on the kind of life I want to build.
Living abroad offers freedom, but it can also feel ungrounded at times.
I’ve come to realize that simply changing locations doesn’t automatically create a life that feels right.
What has become an anchor for me is time spent in nature—especially in the mountains.
When I’m there, my thoughts become clearer, and what truly matters feels simple again.
This blog documents the process of building a life abroad around that feeling.
Through outdoor experiences, everyday reflections, and the people I meet along the way,
I’m exploring how to create a way of living that is both meaningful and sustainable.
This is not about presenting an ideal lifestyle or trying to grow an audience for its own sake.
It’s about understanding what truly matters to me, and how to build a life around it.
I value sharing that process as it is.
I don’t yet know where I will eventually settle, but wherever that place is, I want it to be a life built around what grounds me.
If you are also searching for a place you can call home in your own way, I hope this space offers you something to reflect on.
